MaxCap Group, the Australian commercial real estate (CRE) debt investment manager, has made two new hires after raising A$310 million (£157 million) in 17 deals since the beginning of the year - triple the amount raised in the same period last year.
Omni Partners, the London-based fund manager, has simultaneously announced both the launch and first closing of its third secured lending fund on approximately $60 million.

Indian developer Sobha Group and investment manager RootCorp have launched a new fund targeting real estate assets, development debt and project equity in India. The India Debt and Yield Opportunities Fund is aiming to raise $300m and will target a return of 20%.
ICG-Longbow’s senior UK debt fund has reported profits after tax of £7.6m for the year ended 31 January 2015, up from £1.4m the previous year. ICG-Longbow Senior Secured UK Property Debt Investments has invested in 11 loans totalling £104m. Last year it loaned £8m on Ramada Gateshead and £10m on Lanos (York Hotel), completing its initial investment programme.
